Hello there, I’m Mark, an independent Graphic Designer from Manchester. I’ve been in the design business for over 27 years, creating striking and effective work for a diverse range of companies — from local arts groups and live music venues to clothing brands, theatres, bars, independent retailers and athletics events.

My design journey started on a YTS way back in 1992, learning the basics of typesetting at a small studio on the backstreets on Ancoats, North Manchester. This led to six years studying Graphic Design and visual communication, culminating in a degree from Leeds School of of Art before landing my first proper design job, working on posters and flyers for one of Leeds’ top nightclub promoters.

I returned to my home city in 1999 to work for a design studio set up by the creative team from Sony’s computer games arm, Sony Psygnosis. During my time there I worked on projects for some of the worlds top brands including Sony Playstation, Adidas, Motorola and Stella Artois,

The organisations and businesses I’ve worked with since setting up my own practice in 2007 include Piccadilly Records, The Royal Exchange Theatre, Lyric Theatre, Band on the Wall, Un-Convention, The Manchester Marathon, The University of Manchester, Hikerdelic, Kestin, Welcome Edition and many more.
